Roller doors can fit in some amazing spaces when space is limited

This job in Winchelsea was no exception to that rule. Three openings in a timber-framed garage needed securing and protecting from the English weather so our customer could work in his workshop.

Following two site visits to carefully measure and work out exactly what the customer wanted and we ordered three 55mm compact roller doors from Euroll UK. Their lead time is quick and within three weeks Dean and I were back on site fitting the doors.

It took just a day to complete the installation. Various old fixings and timber work had to be adjusted and the extra work was done to add treated timbers to ensure the roller doors fitted properly.

The exterior was trimmed neatly using white uPVC and all silicone sealed.

Roller door security and automated access

As there was no other way into the garages, one door was fitted with a low level external manual release which can be seen on the far right of the finished installation. A security lock hides the barrel where the external winder can be fitted to wind the door up in the event of a power cut.

All three doors are electrically operated via an internal wall control box or via one the three button remotes. Only one remote is needed to open all three doors independently due to Euroll’s multi-channel handset.
