This garage door project resulted in us removing the garage door altogether.
A retired couple from Willingdon, Eastbourne, kept their tumble dyer in their garage. However, the garage door was very old, and they were both struggling to lift it.
Our customers did not need to use the garage for their car, so the garage door was superfluous to their needs.
We replaced it with a stud wall, clad with uPVC, and door. This meant the couple could access the garage with ease. Meanwhile, the window in the door provides additional natural light.
This is not the first time we have replaced a garage door with a wall and door. For some customers, their need for easy access to what is essentially an often-used room of their home, is more important than having a garage door.
