This installation project was a little unusual as we were asked to match the colour of the existing windows of the house…with roller garage doors.
We often source sectional garage doors in particular colours, as Hörmann offer a RAL colour-match service. However, this customer wanted roller garage doors as one side of their garage was used as a gym so there wasn’t enough room for the tracks required for a sectional door. A roller door retracts into a neat box above the opening, so minimal space is required.
Fortunately, SWS offers a RAL colour-match service too, alongside their range of standard classic colours. This pair of doors was sprayed to match the existing windows – which you can see in the photo above – in a powder-coated finish.
Meanwhile, this customer, located in Kingston, near Lewes, also benefited from the SeceuroGlide security and design features that are built into SWS’s roller garage doors.
Their tough, insulating, twin-walled aluminium slats are held in place with high performance webbing which gives an extremely quiet operation and is rarely unaffected by extremes of temperature. The top slat and unique locking mechanism effectively resist attack from potential intruders. In short, these doors be benefit from enhanced strength, reduced noise and better insulation.
The homeowners also enjoy the convenience of automation, as these electric garage doors open using a key fob.
If your garage would benefit from a roller garage door, then please give me a call. We can discuss colours then too! Meanwhile, you might be interested in this roller door solution too. This one has vision slats to throw natural light into the garage space.
