The team and I are back on the road after abiding by the initial lockdown rules. As our work takes place outside people’s houses, we have been able to safely undertake repairs and garage door installations projects without worrying our customers.
This job saw us fit a pair of side-opening doors for a lady who lives in Seaford.
She set us the challenge of replacing her old double garage door with an easy-to-use, everyday solution. The door would have to be made from best material to be resilient against the effects of the sea air and wide enough to get a car in should she want to.
We built timber stud walls on both sides of the opening to reduce its width slightly and fitted a pair of Garador GRP woodgrain side-opening doors. If it is cleaned regularly, GRP is more resistant to sea air while steel doors tend to rust and wooden doors will rot.
We also used white uPVC hollow soffit and wall cladding to finish off the job.
The customer was delighted with the finished product and was so glad to see back of her old rusty up-and-over garage door.
