Wicked wicket door!

We have just installed a Hörmann sectional garage door with a wicket door in it. This is a side opening pedestrian door that can be opened and closed when the garage door is closed. The wicket door provides easy access without the need to open the garage door each time.

Benefits of a garage door from Hörmann

  • Part of the Hörmann sectional garage door range, these doors are insulated with 42mm worth of foam, sandwiched between two steel layers
  • The doors are very strong and secure
  • The frame has rubber seals on the sides and head, so when the door is closed they prevent drafts
  • The bottom panel of the door has a large rubber skirt on the bottom which makes an excellent seal with the ground. This stops leaves, water and dirt getting into the garage
  • The doors also open vertically so if your driveway is short or you need to park a car close to the garage, you don’t need to leave room for it to open like a traditional up & over garage door

The door in the photos above is in stone grey with a smooth silkgrain finish. The door style is the Hörmann M-Ribbed version.

There are a huge range of standard colours to choose from. Hörmann also does RAL to choose as an option on these doors so we can match almost any colour.
