…but not doors

Not many people know that roller doors can have windows in them, although we do get asked if a roller door can have a pedestrian door in it.

The answer to the pedestrian door query is no. It would be impossible for the roller door to roll up with having a solid door set within in it. Only in a Hörmann sectional door is this magic possible, but that is for another article, see here: Easy access solution replaces barn doors

Our customer in Uckfield wanted a garage door that could provide daylight into the space behind (which is about only 4ft) so the house window beyond the garage door would still get light.

SWS Seceuroglide roller garage door

The answer was simple…install an SWS Seceuroglide roller door. They have a superb range of doors from LT to the original Seceuroglide to the top of the range ultra secure Excel version.

For this installation, the ground was not level by 100mm and the working space limited. This was all in a day’s work for the South East Garage Doors’ professional installation team. They carefully added timbers to fix to sides of the garage door opening, infilled the gaps in between the eave joists, and worked magic on levelling the floor.
