Good news! Hörmann has just released a new generation of automation units and they have incorporated a range of new features.
The Series 4 operators have new and improved LED lighting and include a Bluetooth receiver and an HCP bus connection to enable homeowners to control their garage door via their smartphone or smart smarthome system.
Using the free app on a smartphone, you can open or close the door, partially open it and control the operator light. The HCP bus connection allows you to connect the operator to an external smart home system, such as Amazon Alexa or Google Home Hub.
The Supramatic E has up to 40% faster opening speeds and the Promatic is 75% faster compared to the Series 3 models.
This new series retains important safety and security features, with a reliable, automatic, safety cut-out to securely stop the door if it encounters an obstacle, while also ensuring your door stays shut in the event of forced entry.
The new operators are supplied with two 4-button micro hand transmitters as standard in a resilient matt black finish that complements the operating unit. These hand transmitters continue to use 868 MHz frequency via directional FM radio signals that use the same 128-bit encryption employed by banks for online banking security.
The new Series 4 operators are ideally suited to retractable and sectional garage doors. We are big fans of these two.
