What do you use your garage for?
One of the first things I ask our customers when I visit is what do you use your garage for. This answer has changed dramatically over the years.
The days of having to put the car in the garage seem to be diminishing. This is probably due to how big the cars are getting these days and also because of the cost of moving house. This means people are looking for ways to use all the space they have in their house to suit their lifestyles rather than having to move to find it.
The garage is quite often a very under-used asset. However, they are often cold and uninsulated spaces, and the garage door is often the main culprit for letting air and heat out.
In this example, our customer wanted to be able to access the garage easily and regularly during the day without having to open a big 14ft garage door. However, they didn’t want to lose the option of using the garage for a car if they needed to.
The Hörmann sectional garage door was the perfect answer as they do matching NT60 side doors. They are matched in both colour and design, as well as being having 42mm of insulation. They seal all the way round too and act like a big front door on your garage.
In this example, they went for the l-ribbed design (large panels) in a white silkgrain finish.
If you would like to arrange a site meeting to discuss something similar for your garage, then please get in touch with South East Garage Doors and we will be only too pleased to come out and see you.
