As the title of this advice article suggests, the devil really is in the detail of this particular garage door from sectional door manufacturers, Hörmann.
This installation project in Groombridge, on the border of East Sussex and Kent, saw us use an anthracite T-Ribbed sectional garage door with full stainless steel inlays.
We think the result is pretty smart-looking!
There are always new garage door models and designs coming out. You don’t just have to have a white or dark wood-effect canopy garage door. Unless that is what you want of course!
To see all the possibilities, take a look at our gallery where you can see some of our installations. Although, there are many others that are not included there.
In a nutshell, your choices are:
- Canopy/Up-and-over – full range of styles available
- Roller – rise vertically into a roll in the roof-space to eliminate tracks
- Sectional – also rise vertically onto tracks in a choice of styles while offering security and insulation
- Side-hinged – easy to open and offer a more traditional look
Modern garage doors are made of steel or glass reinforced polyester (GRP) and come in a variety of sizes, finishes and colours.
