This series of photos shows how converting two single garage doors into a double can be completed in just one day.
By 9am, everyone is on site with the replacement garage door and RSJ steel all in situ ready to be used. We lay tarpaulin on the ground and set to work.
By 11.30am, the opening is fully supported with acrow props to support the ceiling of the garage and roof above so the garage doors, frames and central piers can be safely removed.
Then we installed the steel (a Genie lift can be seen in this photo as steels weigh a lot!) and then the garage door.
By 3pm, we are all done and dusted. A new Hörmann sectional garage door has been fitted and we have swept up and have headed out to the next job or home.
A day’s work from South East Garage Doors means the customer benefits from extra space to get their cars in to the garage for ever more.
